Brookgreen Gardens Debuts New Learning Space

Brookgreen educators are targeting Lowcountry art, history, nature, and culture. The Children's Discovery Room for youngsters 4-12 is open year-round, free with admission. Linda Beckham, the Garden's education specialist, said, "…kids who come through the gate …need something on their level to help them appreciate Brookgreen Gardens more." Seven interactive stations allow children to learn, dig, rub, sculpt, observe, and draw, plus "make-and-take." Call 800.849.1931 for details.
