The Festival of Spring, Colors, Holika
A popular Hindu spring festival is the joyous spring "break" away from winter's dreariness comes with the full moon in the month of Phalguana when things thaw out, including inhibitions. People toss color-filled water balloons and sprayed water everywhere and also colored purple, green, pink, blue, yellow, and red powders (all said to be good for the skin though difficult to wash off the next day). A time for eating sweets and being colorful, for a day.
