Finding Shark's Teeth on the Beach
To find sharks' teeth, either fossil or recent, stroll the beach an hour after the tide goes out. Pick up anything that looks shiny and black, shiny and gray, or shiny and beige/white. Sharks' teeth vary in those colors, and fossilized shark's teeth are generally black at the root and grayish at the crown. Some are millions of years old, commonly found on the east coast from New Jersey to Florida. Good luck!
