Kwanzaa Celebrations Around Horry County
The seven principles of Kwanzaa are unity, self determination, responsibility, cooperative economics, purpose, creativity and faith. Celebrations of Kwanzaa just completed between Christmas and New Year brought many African-American families together in honor of our country's African heritage with centuries-old traditions through dance and music. This secular celebration is enjoyed both in homes and churches, a relaxing way to de-stress after television commercials wanting us to spend on Santa and New Year.
