Martin Luther King Day
Today's national holiday, named after Martin Luther King, Jr., represents every person's life path - steps toward peace, freedom, and the pursuit of happiness. As we all struggle for jobs, education, health care, housing, food, and well-being, we recall the terms "equality and social justice." These words hold as much relevance today as they did in the 1960's. This is not just an individual's day off of work, but a day to focus on community.
