More About Seagrass
Seagrass lives entirely in water when the tide is high and yet is also are quite comfortable as a terrestrial plant. Not seaweed at all, it evolved from land, being most closely related to the lily. Like rice, it produces photosynthesis effectively (extracting greenhouse gas C02 and converting it to oxygen). Algae from sewage is the main culprit now shrinking seagrass populations which contributes to increased global warming.
