Take a Myrtle Beach Vacation and See What You’ve Been Missing
A new survey produced by D.K. Shifflet & Associates has revealed that Myrtle Beach and its surrounding areas ranked second most popular in the U.S. for family summer vacation trips. The findings were based on a four-year research project specifically influenced by length of stay, and that the trips were for leisure travel only, with no other reason for visiting, like coming to see local relatives or attending a wedding. Based on information gathered from the Chamber of Commerce, the majority of people vacationing in Myrtle Beach stay an average of five nights, while Orlando, which ranked first in the study, only boasted a 4.3-night average stay. Other destinations on the list included: Ocean City, Maryland, San Diego, California, Nags Head, North Carolina, and San Antonio, Texas.
