  When Canada's Sidney Crosby (87) scored the winning goal in overtime for the men's ice hockey game with the U. S., the world congratulated Canada, commiserated with the U.S., and celebrated one of the best Winter Olympics in history. Despite its anguishing start with the death of Georgian luger Nodar Kumaritashvili, the games were a triumph for Canada and the world.
