Palmettovore Month in SC
Did you know that June is Palmettovore Month here in the Palmetto State? So says the SC State Department of Agriculture who wants South Carolinians and everyone passing to buy more locally-grown produce. Being a "palmettorvore" doesn't mean eating palmettos. The term is the state legislature's way of encouraging purchase of SC local produce such as strawberries, blueberries, cantaloupe, and the list goes on of freshness and wholesomeness.
