Can you believe that Summer of 2007 is rapidly coming to an end? Pretty soon we’ll all be consumed with plans for Thanksgiving dinners, gift shopping and holiday plans. In the meantime, let’s squeeze out every last drop of the warm, sun-drenched days that we have left, shall we?
Have a safe and glorious Labor Day!

Grande Shores News
Come back to us and relax in Grande style! All of our condos have recently received brand new sofas and easy chairs! The other sets were great, but after servicing a few seasons of happy beach-goers, it was time to for them to retire and make way for a new generation of comfort. New bedspreads, pillows and blankets also now grace the comfortable bedrooms.
On the hotel side: Everyone’s favorite Grande Shores guy, Mitchell Martin, personally spearheaded the campaign for new mattresses and box springs. More updates on the way.
We’ve got a brand new Web cam up on our 7th floor pool deck! Take a peak to see all the fun going on right this second---you control the camera!
Talk a walk around and notice that all the railings have been painted, too. We’re always doing something to try to make your stay a little better, a little brighter, a little nicer. Stay tuned for future updates!
On August 16, the staff brought in delicious snacks and sweet treats to sell in a Great American Bake Sale event held down in the lobby. The national campaign, developed by the Share Our Strength charity organization, asks participants (like the Grande Shores crew) to host bake sales in effort to raise money to end childhood hunger. The awesome goodies brought in over $439! Celebrities like Chef Rachel Ray and Food Network’s Sandra Lee have offered their talents, recipes and notoriety to the organization to help raise awareness and garner participation. Management will match the bake sale collection and send in $1000 to the charity. For more information about the campaign, please visit http://gabs.strength.org.

October Events
Fall Bike Rally
Pull on your motorcycle boots, or come on by to buy some. The fall bike rally hits the Myrtle Beach area October 3-7. Venders, dealers, and entertainment will be at Barefoot Landing from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. daily; plus many other venues all along the Strand.
Entertain Me!
The Myrtle Beach Pavilion may have closed its doors, but the legacy lives on thanks to some clever thinking and available space. A collection of rides, including the Pirate Ship, Motorcycle Ride, Boat Ride, and of course, the Tea Cups, have been moved to Broadway at the Beach located on Bypass 17 in Myrtle Beach. The area, called appropriately, The Pavilion Nostalgia Park, opened mid-summer and has been delighting visitors every since. If you’re not into rides, the park also offers indulgent, fun-park foods---like corndogs, funnel cakes, cotton candy and snow cones---to take you right back to the boardwalk of yesterday.
Golf Tips
Our staff recommends you rely on our extensive knowledge of the area when booking multiple rounds on one day. As the area golf courses extend from Southport, NC to Georgetown, SC, you want to make sure you have ample time to get from course to course. Traveling more than 20 minutes from one course to the other may make you rush your morning round just to try and get on the road to get to your next. So relax and let us take the worry out of your planning.

One of the cleanest places we've stayed... especially the grounds and ELEVATORS! The cleaning staff should be commended. Everyone went out of their way to accomodate us, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Terry Strong, Shelbyville KY
Still coming there after 10yrs! Heidi Martin, Gastonia NC
We were most impressed with the property and the value that we received for the money. The availability and close proximity of the pools and the short walk to the beach were wonderful. Our kids had a wonderful time as well. The cleanliness of the overall property was impressive, and we were treated very well as guests. We plan to return in the future. Wayne Kelly, Stockbridge GA
This was our 3rd stay with the Grande Shores and we love the convenience, location, great facility. All the staff (is) very cordial and helpful. John Caughron, Alcoa TN
My family and I had a very memorable stay at your resort. We would stay there again. Everything was wonderful. Donna Gritzer, Latroke PA
This place was spotless. Check in was easy, staff friendly, condo was spotless & had everything we needed. Loved the balcony off the 11th floor with the side view of the ocean. Parking garage connected to resort, 3 elevators, little if no waiting. Clean beach with lifeguards. Can't wait to return! A TripAdvisor Comment from Chicago_bound, OH
I have stayed at several hotels in Myrtle Beach over the past few years and I will say that the Grande Shores was by far the best. I know it's hard to keep an ocean front property looking good and cleaning it is and endless job.. But they keep on top of it.. The cleaning staff seemed very friendly and I felt they wanted to make sure our stay was enjoyable.. Parking was not a problem and check in and out was made easy by the front desk staff.. They have a nice breakfast buffet that was reasonable in price. The 7th floor pool deck was our favorite place to hang out.. The Beach was beautiful and not crowded.. The Grande Shores Ocean Resort is the place I will stay from now on.
Thank You. A TripAdvisor Comment from Larry Braniger.

The hotel staff is just wonderful. I stayed for 2 weeks at the hotel and it was the best time. The front desk staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are very clean. I plan on staying there every time I go to Myrtle Beach.

Awesome, couldn't believe it was so nice, found out that it was renovated not so long ago after we talked to one of the front desk people. Will be my first choice the next time I go back to Myrtle Beach, which is frequently. Highly recommend!!!

Our family met there for a great relaxing vacation, the facilities were awsome, and the view was great, and breakfast buffet was so good Thank you and we will all be back next year!!! Hollie Frazzini - Fort Wayne, IN
The housekeeping staff were very accomodating. We requested a time for our room to be cleaned and they made sure to clean it during that time every day. Thank you for working with our schedule. Kevin Hodge - Greer, SC
