GUEST COMMENTS

Here's what our guests are saying about us...

__________

My family and I were planning our 1st visit to Myrtle Beach, so we did a lot of online and other research on hotels, narrowing it down to 3. We could not have been more pleased that we chose Grande Shores. For a family environment, it was very good. Children, including ours, seemed to have a wonderful time. The hotel has 2 lazy rivers, and we loved the one on the 7th floor. The other guests felt like good, friendly neighbors. The beach is right behind the hotel, so we were able to walk there in just a few minutes each day. The housekeeping staff smiled and was polite and took good care of us. The room had a balcony, which helped not only giving a good view, but to help dry our wet clothes. This hotel is unique in that it seems to be the last one in a long row of hotels, so on one side is an upscale residential neighborhood. We did not feel closed in by hotels on either side, as we may have felt if staying elsewhere. We were pleased we chose the package that included breakfast for each of us each morning at the hotel's Shoreline Cafe. There was plenty to choose from (eggs, potatoes, fruit, cereal, drinks), and we took advantage of it, eating a large breakfast before going out to enjoy the sites of Myrtle Beach. Another good quality is that Grande Shores is situated about halfway between Broadway at the Beach and Barefoot Landing, so we were close to Ripley's Aquarium one way, and Alligator Adventure the other way. Grande Shores is not extremely modern, but very well-equipped, clean, comfortable, and was a good deal. The best thing was that it was so nice for children. We would definitely choose Grande Shores again. Charleston, WV

Grande Shores is right on the beach which was never crowded during our Aug 22-26 stay. Maintenance staff was in our room just 10 minutes after a call to the front desk and the desk would always call to see if we were satisfied. Our condo unit was on the 3rd floor, and we were able to park on the indoor 3rd level just outside our unit. This made the unloading and loading of our vehicle so easy. The kids loved the fact that they had a choice of the ocean, the indoor pool, the outside pools (one of them was on the 7th floor), the hot tubs and the lazy rivers. The staff was very customer oriented which was the main reason I decided to stay here after reading the reviews of all the other hotel/condos in Myrtle Beach. Daily maid service made sure that we always had enough clean towels and wash cloths. Pool towels were available at the front desk. Beach towels are not furnished; so, we brought ours. There is a restaurant, snack bar and a bar for those tropical drinks. Since we brought our own food and drinks, we made good use of the kitchen in the condo. This part of Myrtle Beach is south of Restaurant Row which results in much less traffic. The lifeguard station on the beach rents chairs and unbrellas, but you can always provide your own. To sum it up, it was wonderful to stay at Grande Shores where we had a very positive experience. I highly recommend this place if one is going to Myrtle Beach. Springfield, VA
