Grande Shores News
The replacement of all the bedspreads in the hotel rooms is now complete! Not only have guests favorably commented about the cheerful good looks and the overall freshness they add to the rooms, the Housekeeping staff loves them, too. New, plush velour blankets are also being added, with over two-thirds of the rooms already benefiting from their cozy warmth.
Our annual super-deep cleaning is currently in progress. Repairs and painting will be done by our capable Engineering department, followed by a professional carpet cleaning with Scotch Guard application. Additionally, a major-duty scrubbing will be given by our fantastic Housekeeping staff. The work will take place during the week in unoccupied rooms, so you don't have to worry about it interfering with any of your vacation fun!
New speed bumps will be added to the entrance of the resort on either sides of the crosswalk. The new safety feature will slow down traffic exactly where guests and staff cross from the elevator lobby on the 1st floor, to the restaurant and pool areas.
Grande Shores held its 2007 Employee Appreciation Party the end of last month. A DJ was on-hand to spin the tunes and keep the staff dancing the afternoon away. It's just a small token of thanks to the great crew that works hard all year to make sure our guests have a wonderful vacation stay.
Golf Tips
In order to be guaranteed to replay your scheduled course, you must pre-book this in advance at the full course price. If you want to take a chance that times will be available on the day of play, check with the course when you show up for your regular time and ask for a replay. If an afternoon time is available, you may get a reduced price for this.

Guest Comments
We stayed at the Grande Shores for a week mid September. We were pleasantly surprised by the room. It was quite large with plenty of room to move around and not feel cramped. It was nice to have a fully stocked apartment-sized kitchen area with full size fridge, even though we didn't use it much. The room was clean and comfortable...."functional" was my husband's word. The pools and lazyrivers were clean and warm. The parking garage within the hotel made for easy access to the room. The front desk was always helpful. We'd recommend this hotel in a heart beat. I stay in Myrtle Beach twice a year, every year for weeks at a time and there is no other place I'd recommend staying other than Grande Shores Ocean Resort! The staff is very warm and considerate, the facility is very clean, and the views are spectacular. The location is fantastic too because it is out of the busy part of town, yet close to all amenities. I strongly encourage anyone going to Myrtle Beach on vacation to give Grande Shores a try, and I promise you'll love it as much as I do! A TripAdvisor.com Comment, Guest Msayers, from Greensboro, NC
We have stayed here several times over the last 2 years. We keep coming back because of the cleanliness and hospitality we receive. It also has indoor pools and hot tubs for year around enjoyment. The restaurant is excellent & we highly recommend it. Also they have great packages even for those of us that are not avid golfers. We recommend the Romance Getaway Package - Great for our anniversary weekend!
We can not say enough great things about this resort. Whether you need a small hotel room or a condo for family ventures, this is the place to be. Convenient to North and South MB so no need to drive long distances either way. Go check it out! A TripAdvisor.com Comment, Guest PWWVA, from Virginia
