Wildfires Ending, Back to the Beach
Nearly out now, the wildfires that damaged the 4-mile zone to the west of town were never anywhere near the coastal areas east of the Intracoastal Waterway. In fact, of the 100+ golf courses all around our area, not one was ever damaged, though two Barefoot Landing courses have some charred rough areas and wood bridges. Fires are contained to 100% now with rains expected. Clean-up begins as firefighters regain much needed rest.
