Tuesday Nights, Island Style!
As the sun begins to set over the Atlantic, Tuesday evenings at Grande Shores Ocean Resort transform into one of the most unforgettable experiences of the summer. Our beloved Hula Fire Dinner & Show has returned bigger, brighter, and more exciting than ever before.
The celebration begins long before the first flame lights up the night. Guests gather on our oceanfront lawn as a live DJ sets the perfect island atmosphere with upbeat music, creating an energy that carries throughout the evening. Enjoy a delicious Hawaiian-inspired dinner before experiencing the breathtaking sights, sounds, and traditions of Polynesian culture during our spectacular Hula Fire Show. Adults can toast to the occasion with our signature "Sip the Sunset" cocktail, served in a commemorative keepsake cup that's perfect for remembering a magical evening by the beach.
New this year, we've also introduced our exclusive Grande Shores Hula Fire T-shirts—available in a variety of vibrant colors and designed to capture the spirit of one of our most popular summer events. It's just one more way to take a piece of the experience home with you!
Running every Tuesday through September 1st, there's still plenty of time to experience why Hula Fire has become a guest favorite year after year. More than a show, it's an evening filled with great food, lively entertainment, island-inspired fun, and memories your family will treasure long after your vacation comes to an end.

A Commemorative Fourth of July to Remember
This year's Fourth of July celebration at Grande Shores Ocean Resort was one for the books! As we celebrated the 250th anniversary of American Independence, our oceanfront lawn came alive with music, laughter, and unforgettable moments shared by guests of all ages.
The festivities kicked off with our annual holiday cookout, where families gathered to enjoy a delicious buffet featuring all the classic American favorites. With our DJ keeping the energy high throughout the day, the resort was filled with smiles, dancing, and the unmistakable spirit of summer. Young guests got creative crafting festive red, white, and blue tambourines before everyone looked to the skies for the breathtaking Salute from the Shore flyover, featuring an incredible display of military aircraft along the Grand Strand.
The excitement only grew from there as families cheered each other on during sack races, a refreshing water balloon toss, and one of the day's biggest crowd favorites, the annual watermelon eating contest! What started as a children's competition quickly turned into a friendly showdown for the adults, filling the lawn with laughter and creating memories that perfectly captured the joy of celebrating together by the beach.
At Grande Shores, holidays are about more than events, they're about bringing people together and creating moments that become cherished family traditions. We hope everyone who celebrated with us took home memories that will last for years to come, and we can't wait to welcome families back to continue the tradition next summer.
Meet Ben: Bringing Passion to Grande Shores
We have had the pleasure of welcoming Ben Giannetti to our team as our seasonal intern, where he has quickly become a valued member of our Grande Shores family.
Currently studying Commercial Investment Real Estate at Coastal Carolina University, Ben has spent his summer gaining hands-on experience assisting with maintenance projects and event coordination throughout the resort. Originally from Michigan, Ben shared that his internship at Grande Shores has been an incredible opportunity to continue developing his skills and preparing for his academic year.
Beyond his dedication and willingness to help wherever needed, Ben has already made a lasting impression on both our team and our guests. His friendly attitude, professionalism, and genuine desire to assist others have not gone unnoticed. One guest recently shared their appreciation with our front desk team, praising Ben for going above and beyond, taking the time to answer questions, and providing the kind of thoughtful service that leaves a lasting impression.

Ahoy, Pirates Bring Fun Ashore!
At Grande Shores Ocean Resort, we believe some of the best vacation memories are the ones you never see coming. This summer, our guests received a special surprise when some familiar faces from one of Myrtle Beach’s most popular attractions, Pirates Voyage Dinner & Show, stopped by the resort to bring a little extra excitement to their beach day.
Beloved by visitors and locals alike, Pirates Voyage is known for its action-packed dinner theater experience featuring incredible performances, pirate adventures, and entertainment that captivates guests of all ages. From young explorers to those young at heart, it has become a must-see experience for families visiting the Grand Strand.
During their visit to Grande Shores, the pirates brought their energy and excitement right to our resort, spending time with guests by the pool, posing for photos, and handing out special goodies to children enjoying their vacation. The smiles, laughter, and excitement shared throughout the afternoon were a wonderful reminder that the best vacation moments often come from unexpected experiences.

Thoughtful Updates for Elevated Experiences
This season, we’ve continued making thoughtful improvements throughout the resort to enhance comfort, convenience, and the overall guest experience.
We’re excited to introduce a brand-new fleet of luggage carts, providing guests with an upgraded and more convenient experience from the moment they arrive. As one of the most frequently used amenities throughout the resort, these new carts are a simple addition designed to make arrivals and departures even smoother.
We’ve also refreshed all of our ocean view hotel units with new furnishing, including new dressers, new bed frames and headboards as well as fresh new carpeting! These additions create a more cohesive, comfortable, and elevated space for guests to relax after a day by the ocean.
Every update we make is inspired by one goal: creating a better experience for our guests. We can’t wait for you to see these improvements and enjoy the continued comfort of Grande Shores during your next visit!
