Greetings from Grande Shores

Winter has arrived at Grande Shores and we have had many warm and cool days, which is on par for our beach weather this time of year. We've had some fantastic events on property as well as some great upgrades and improvements! We are looking forward to our annual Valentine's Dinner weekend in February, as well as spring, which is just around the corner!


We love our employees!

This winter, we showed our appreciation for our employee's hard work with an impromptu visit from local ice cream favorite, Mr. Softee as well as some delicious Chick-Fil-A!


Welcome to Grande Shores, Shaun Canter!

Introducing Shaun Canter, Guest Services Manager

While not officially a local, having grown up for the most part in Virginia, Shaun has been visiting the Grand Strand area since he was five years old. He spent summers here with his grandmother and has long considered himself a part of the community. Shaun attended college at Virginia Tech for both communications and theatre, and after moving to the Grand Strand attended Coastal Carolina University where he received a Bachelors in Business Science with a focus on Hospitality and Tourism Management.

Shaun started with Myrtle Beach Seaside Resorts as a desk agent at Prince Resort, and worked hard to become the Night Manager at Avista Resort for several years. After returning to the Prince, Shaun become the Front Office / Guest Services Manager until joining the Grande Shores team in the same role this past Christmas. Shaun is eager to continue learning and growing and hopes to be an integral part of the Grande Shores team!

It speaks volumes when people stay at one company for years and even decades! This shows not only a love for their job and team, but for both the hospitality industry and the culture of integrity. We are most proud of our Grande Shores family, who have grown as people and helped grow our beautiful resort into a destination and experience that families return to year after year. We would like to recognize these employees for their milestones.

A season of giving

Gobble, Gobble!

We had "Turkeymania" at Grande Shores! Our managers purchased 16 turkeys for employee giveaways during our employee Thanksgiving celebration. 

It was a fun day that included lots of laughs and great camaraderie.

We adopted a classroom!

Our team collected matching PJ's for the children and teacher for their Christmas at school. They all wore their PJ's, had hot chocolate, and watched Polar Express. Each child received a personalized stocking with games, toys and lots of candy. Due to privacy, we can't share the joy in pictures but know this was an amazing day for them and brought all of us immense happiness!


Upgrades for 2023
We are excited to announce the follow upgrades & renovations:

Renovations to our oceanfront hotel rooms

In-Room TV Casting - The ultimate guest experience - cast your phone or tablet to any TV in the room and watch all your favorite shows using your own apps!

Upgraded 265 cameras throughout the entire building

Added beautiful and comfortable new common area furniture on the first floor for our guests
