Greetings from Grande Shores

As the peaceful winter season settles along the Grand Strand, we’re proud to reflect on closing out 2025 on a truly high note here at Grande Shores. The holiday season brought joy, laughter, and unforgettable moments as families gathered to celebrate by the coast, and we’re grateful to have shared such a special time with our guests. Winter at the beach offers a quieter kind of magic, and behind the scenes, our team has been hard at work preparing for an exciting year ahead. In this edition of our newsletter, we’re highlighting the progress of our indoor and outdoor pool renovations, sharing resort updates, and looking ahead to all that 2026 has in store. There’s so much to be excited about at Grande Shores as we welcome the new year together!

A Thanksgiving to Remember in Shoreline Cafe

This year’s Thanksgiving celebration at Grande Shores was truly something special. Guests gathered to enjoy a delicious holiday meal, filling Shoreline Café with laughter, gratitude, and quality time shared with loved ones. Those who joined us in the café were also welcomed by its fresh new updates, adding an extra touch of warmth and comfort to the festive experience.

We were thrilled to see so many families take advantage of our new Heat & Serve Thanksgiving option, which allowed guests to enjoy a stress-free holiday meal in the comfort of their own accommodations. This new offering was a wonderful addition to our Thanksgiving celebrations and quickly became a guest favorite.

A heartfelt thank-you goes out to our incredible Food & Beverage team, whose hard work and attention to detail made the entire event run seamlessly. From the carefully prepared menu to the welcoming atmosphere, their dedication truly shined. With such a successful celebration behind us, we’re already looking forward to doing it all again next year and continuing this special holiday tradition at Grande Shores!

Grande Shores: A Destination for Groups
This past fall, Grande Shores was proud to host several wonderful group stays, welcoming travelers who came together to enjoy the coast, celebrate the season, and create lasting memories. While these were just two of many groups who visited us, their stays perfectly showcase the warm hospitality and thoughtful service we strive to provide every group we welcome.

Ionosphere Tours visited Grande Shores with a full tour bus of excited travelers, marking the third holiday visit to our resort for tour guides Nancy and David. Upon arrival, guests were warmly greeted by our Engineering team, who assisted with luggage delivery and delighted each guest with a freshly baked, warm chocolate chip cookie. During their stay, the group enjoyed our central location, breathtaking oceanfront views, and a daily breakfast buffet before heading out to explore the Grand Strand. From shopping and local dining to experiencing the area’s beloved Christmas shows, the group’s holiday getaway was filled with festive fun.

We were also honored to welcome the North Carolina Highway Patrol Retirees, who chose to stay with us this November. As returning guests, the group leader once again selected Grande Shores as his resort of choice, a testament to the comfort and hospitality they’ve come to know and trust. The group enjoyed several days together at the resort and concluded their stay with a delicious banquet dinner, making their visit both memorable and celebratory.

Whether hosting tour groups, reunions, or special gatherings, Grande Shores offers the space, service, and oceanfront setting to make group stays seamless and enjoyable. We’re proud to be a trusted destination for group travel and look forward to welcoming many more groups in the seasons ahead.

Making a Splash: Pool Renovations at Grande Shores

Grande Shores is excited to announce a series of updates to our indoor and outdoor pool areas, designed to make your stay even more fun, safe, and relaxing. Our refreshed spaces will feature updated surfaces, brighter surroundings, and more comfortable areas to lounge, creating the perfect environment for family time!

The indoor pool area will be brighter and more welcoming than ever, including a freshly painted mushroom water fountain top in bright yellow to bring an extra touch of fun for kids and families. This updated space offers a playful environment for families to gather, play, and enjoy quality time together. Meanwhile, our outdoor pool is also being resurfaced, ensuring a smooth and refreshed experience for all guests when the weather is warm and sunny.
While renovations are underway, we anticipate only minimal downtime in certain sections over the next couple of weeks. This careful planning ensures the pools will be ready for full use in time for the start of the busy season, so guests can dive in and enjoy every moment of their stay.

Welcoming Our New Director of Engineering
We are excited to welcome Daniel Evans to the Grande Shores team as our new Director of Engineering. A graduate of Horry-Georgetown Technical College, Daniel brings more than 15 years of experience in the hospitality industry, along with a strong background in construction and project management. Prior to joining Grande Shores, he worked as a project manager overseeing the development of new home communities, giving him a unique perspective on both large-scale projects and day-to-day operations.

Daniel’s experience spans both Guest Services and Engineering, allowing him to approach every task with the guest experience in mind. One of his biggest priorities is striving to make every day better than the last, and we are already excited about the energy, leadership, and fresh ideas he brings to our resort. We look forward to working alongside Daniel and seeing his vision come to life as we continue to enhance Grande Shores for our guests and owners.

These fun-filled experiences are the perfect way to enjoy the holiday of love with friends, whether you’re staying at the resort or joining us just for the festivities.

The celebration begins on Saturday, February 7, with Mermaids & Mimosas, an afternoon wine glass painting experience full of creativity and coastal charm. Then, on Friday, February 13, gather your friends for Crafts & Laughs, a sweet and playful evening decorating chocolate bombs together. Each event is $25 per person and includes one glass of wine or champagne.
